Dissection

The Dissection series explores the obscuring identity through simple transparent geometric overlays.

 

The geometry, consisting of minor variations in shading and color subtly alter the form of a portrait so that the original subject becomes something new. Expression and personality are registered no longer by the face, but by the color and geometry.
